Why did you decide to collaborate with peoplefone?

We had offers from various internet service providers on the table. Ultimately, the choice fell on peoplefone, which was recommended to us by our long-standing integration partner UPGREAT. In addition, they made us a very good, tailor-made offer that includes a package, among other things. This is essential and necessary for Edelweiss.

As an airline, our telephony must operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, otherwise we have a problem.

What is the biggest difference compared to the previous solution?

There are no major differences. Our staff didn't really notice the change. Since we also make international calls, and not all of our partners abroad have Microsoft Teams, we need a landline connection in addition to VoIP telephony. This is also included in the new offer.

How did the migration to Microsoft Teams go?

It was a collaboration between UPGREAT, peoplefone, and us. The migration took about two hours and went smoothly. There was only a five-minute interruption, which is quite normal for such changes. Everything also went smoothly: for example, the kick-off meeting only took an hour – that's enough if you know what you're doing (laughs).

Did you encounter or are you encountering any particular challenges?

Unlike other companies, we have to be available 24 hours a day, as I mentioned. Fortunately, internet telephony has become very secure and stable. But since there is no 100% security, we always have to have a plan B or contingency scenarios.

What does this plan B look like?

Edelweiss has an analog telephone line in the operations center at Zurich Airport. This is used in emergencies.

Are you satisfied with the new telephone solution?

We are very satisfied, including the entire transition. Thanks to strong partners, everything went smoothly.

And how do you rate the collaboration with peoplefone?

From my point of view, peoplefone is a very innovative and solid company. I would recommend their services and offers at any time - not just because the company offers good quality at a good price.
