Why did you switch to a new telephone solution?
We were already a peoplefone customer and saw no reason to switch. peoplefone has a competitive offering that has always worked flawlessly for us.
To make it easier for employees to work from home during the coronavirus crisis, we decided on a solution integrated with our work processes and systems.
Which solution did you switch to?
We currently work extensively via Microsoft Teams. We had used the tool before, but without telephony. Now, with a single click, we can initiate and organize internal and external calls or video conferences.
In conference rooms, people can also be easily added via video using Teams Rooms. The ability to ask an employee or team a question via video or phone in the home office with a single click has changed the way we work.
The trading departments are legally obligated to maintain secure documentation. For this purpose, we now use the Luware Recording solution, which is fully integrated with Teams.
How did you experience the change?
The change went smoothly. We were already familiar with Microsoft Teams, so employees quickly found their way around the new telephony, and the additional conference options were very well received.
The seamless integration with the well-known Outlook and the Teams mobile client made the learning curve very flat.
What was and is the collaboration with peoplefone and Weibel/IT like?
It was easy and smooth. Together with Weibel/IT, we refined the requirements and created a checklist and a plan. This was then implemented.
There are differences between a traditional telephone system and an integrated communication solution – it's more than just a phone. However, we were able to quickly address the resulting needs – these are configuration settings.
We are very satisfied.
What is the biggest difference compared to the previous solution?
Our employees have access to Office 365 and Microsoft Teams, regardless of device and location. The flexibility to switch to a home office or shared desk without compromising management, security, and system usage guidelines is very valuable.
Dealing with and promoting the conscious use of these opportunities is a new challenge for companies at all employee levels.
